It’s Official; I’m a College Grad!
I am beyond excited to officially announce that I have earned my degree, Bachelor’s of Science in Education.
After long hours completing homework assignments in front of the computer, stressing about huge projects, being overwhelmed by the amount of required reading, I am done.
I have loved my college experience at Chadron State College. From the amazing English professors to the delectable coffee shops, Chadron will always be a very special place to me.
After years of anticipation, the pomp and circumstance commenced last weekend. At CSC’s awards ceremony, Ivy Day, I was honored with a special tutoring certification, acknowledged as an outstanding English department student, and awarded Summa Cum Laude.
I was also a top five contender for the Platinum Eagle Award, the highest honor at Chadron State College.
My grandparents came…
And my Rockstar parents of course were there, too.
Despite the torrential rain, I even managed to cross the stage on Saturday morning for the graduation commencement.
My family even made the drive to watch!
And my boyfriend.
My dear friends were also part of the special day.
Then it was time to cut the cake!
When I got home, I was also bestowed with a candy bouquet at the bank where I work.
It feels wonderful to have finished this big achievement. My friends and family were absolutely instrumental in my educational success, and I’ll never be able to thank them enough.
So this week I’m celebrating the people who have led me to graduation: teachers, professors, parents, grandparents, cats, co-workers, boyfriend (only one of those!), family, friends, and the good Lord.
Cheers to a great accomplishment!
